I started MW Contracting in 2009 with a pickup truck, a few good tools, and a simple belief: homeowners in Mahopac deserved a contractor who actually showed up, did quality work, and stood behind it.
A few years in, I kept seeing the same problem — families dealing with water or fire damage, calling restoration companies that were slow, impersonal, and more interested in billing insurance than actually helping. So we got certified and added remediation to what we do.
Today we're a team of 18, but the approach hasn't changed. I'm still on job sites. I still answer my phone. And every project still gets the same attention it would if it were my own home.

- 2009
MW Contracting founded in Mahopac, NY — starting with residential renovation and light construction.
- 2012
Expanded into water and fire damage restoration after recognizing a gap in quality local service.
- 2015
Achieved IICRC certification across all remediation disciplines. Grew to a team of 12 full-time technicians.
- 2018
Completed 500th restoration project. Established direct billing relationships with major insurance carriers.
- 2021
Expanded service area to cover all of Putnam, Westchester, and Dutchess Counties.
- 2024
Over 2,400 completed projects. Still family-owned, still answering every call ourselves.
